The Sakyong has asked participants who have completed the first Scorpion Seal Assembly to gather at practice centers for a second year program. This retreat, will be led by Shambhala Atlantic acharyas. The focus will be on intensive practice of the Werma Sadhana and other practices that were received last summer. It will include the reading transmission of the entire Profound volume. This book will provide the basis of our training as we move forward with the Scorpion Seal path. The second year assemblies will be a prerequisite for continuing on.
To attend, you must be well on your way to completing the practice requirements set out last year (500,000 recitations), and wholeheartedly trying to fulfill any individual conditions placed on your 2009 acceptance.
It is not necessary to apply to the Shambhala Office of Practice and Education in order to attend a second year Scorpion Seal assembly in 2010.
Participants are asked to arrive between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. on the arrival day (August 18), and to depart after 2:00 p.m. on August 29 so that everyone can help with the take-down that morning.
