Manager, Donor DevelopmentOpen until filled

Dorje Denma Ling’s exciting and expansive plans for future development require the services of an enthusiastic and experienced Manager of Donor Development.  The candidate for this position must have experience in fundraising and growing a donor base, and be a self-starter with good organizational skills.  A desire and willingness to connect with the Centre’s vision of being a teaching seat for the Sakyong in the Capital of the Kingdom is a central requirement. Responsible for all donor activities, this position includes planning, developing, and executing a comprehensive and successful fundraising program for the centre as well as preparing, carrying through and following up with capital campaigns.  As a key staff member, the Manager of Donor Development will provide active leadership in articulating fundraising strategies and goals, plan and execute fundraising events at the end of each program, develop our donor data base to distribute email newsletters and other communications, and send out thank you letters.  It is important to be able to see fundraising as a dynamic piece of a larger mandala connecting programs, publicity, practice, housekeeping, kitchen, and other departments and activities.  For this important position we would like a two-year commitment.              Benefits include full room and board plus $500/month, $100/month program credit, and the possibility of supplemental health insurance.  The centre has a generous days-off and leave policy and ample time for daily practice.  For more information, please contact personnel@dorjedenmaling.com, or complete an application on-line and we will contact you.

This position is joined with another half-position at Denma Ling, depending upon the skills and experience of the applicant.
