Dorje Denma Ling, a non-profit Shambhala Program Centre, was founded by students of the  Vidyadhara, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and his heir and son the Sakyong, Mipham Rinpoche.

We host group retreats that foster a more awake, kind and caring culture. Our collaborative learning programs bring together like-minded people, who are concerned about the environment, and passionate about creating sane society – a society that promotes basic goodness, courageous compassion and respect for each other and for the world.

Dorje Denma Ling is situated on a hill in a beautiful rural area of Nova Scotia, Canada, near the village of Tatamagouche. The land is surrounded by forests and organic farm land, and overlooks the Northumberland Strait. Here you can enjoy the natural environment, space, the vast views and open sky.

Only one hour from the Halifax International Airport, Dorje Denma Ling is a place to slow down and fully relax.

Dorje Denma Ling is Canada’s only Shambhala International residential program centre. It was founded in 1992 under the auspices of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and his son and heir, the Sakyong, Mipham Rinpoche.
