Facilities Position

Care for the land. Maintain the container. Keep things working and welcoming.

Dorje Denma Ling invites applications for a Facilities Position —a role shaped as much by the person who steps into it as by the job itself.

Whether you arrive with seasoned trade skills or a practical mind and willing hands, this position offers real work, real responsibility, and the chance to support a unique retreat environment in rural Nova Scotia. You’ll help ensure our buildings, grounds, and systems remain safe, sound, and supportive for everyone who lives, works, or practices here.

This role may involve leading others or simply showing up fully yourself. You may fix a burst pipe, coordinate with an electrician, split firewood, help set up tents, or quietly adjust a door latch so it finally closes with dignity. Some days are about planning. Some days are about lifting.

The work expands or simplifies depending on your experience and readiness. What matters most is care, presence, and the willingness to engage with what’s needed.
