PLEASE NOTE: As per Federal and Provincial Border regulations, we cannot accept travellers from outside of Nova Scotia at this time.

Winter Retreat Opportunities for the 2020/21 Season

Dorje Denma Ling is pleased to offer four retreat opportunities in Gyatso lodge.

Retreatants will bring their own food which can be prepared in the shared kitchen. DDL staff will support retreatants with supplemental shopping as needed.

All retreatants are welcome to enjoy the land and walking trails around the property, and access internet. Social distancing, hand washing/sanitizing guidelines still apply outside and in the office building.

There is no minimum stay. A 15% discount will be applied to registrations 14 nights or longer. The price assumes single occupancy. No outside visitors are permitted.

Your practice during retreat is your choice. As long as you respect the privacy of other retreatants and occupancy guidelines set by Dorje Denma Ling, you can otherwise come and go as you please.

  • Each of the four retreat areas will include two rooms: one bedroom and one practice space, plus a private shower and bathroom area.
  • Each area will also be equipped with a small fridge and kettle so you can store snacks, cool water, and make hot beverages. Coffee and tea supplies will be provided in your retreat area.
  • Retreatants will have access to a shared kitchen with an additional refrigerator, toaster-oven, hot plate, and microwave oven.
  • Each area will have a box or furniture appropriate for a shrine set up. Set up is the responsibility of the retreatant.
  • Retreat supplies (e.g., incense, candles, etc.) are also the responsibility of the retreatant. However, we have ample bowls (including sand or salt) and votive holders you can use if you prefer not to bring those with you.
  • Retreats are open beginning November 1. Choice of dates and retreat suite is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and is managed by our booking software.
  • Cost: $65 per day
  • 15% discount applies for minimum stays of 14 days.
