    As in the sky, all clouds disappear into the sky, the sky itself
    Wherever they go, they go nowhere;
    Wherever they are, they are nowhere.

    The same is the same for thoughts in the mind.
    When mind looks at mind,
    The waves of conceptual thought disappear.

    Overview

    During this retreat, practitioners from all Chöd traditions will study and practise together The Song of the Mother, a guru yoga of Machig, written by Karme Chagme with a commentary by Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso.

    If you are a Chödpa -- come practise with those gathered at Denma Ling this weekend!

    All Chödpas Welcome

    This isn’t an introductory weekend. If you have a Chöd practice already -- from any tradition, you are invited. If you have any questions about attending this Chöd gathering, please contact Kristine directly.

    If you are not yet a Chöd practitioner, but would like to learn, please refer to this this online recorded training.

    What to Expect

    During this retreat, practitioners gathered at Dorje Denma Ling and those joining online from all Chöd traditions will study and practise together The Song of the Mother, a guru yoga of Machig. This will be our unifying theme for the gathering. (If you don't have the liturgy, this will be shared with you.)

    For those of us gathered at Dorje Denma Ling, we could also enjoy Chöd practices from other traditions. These sessions will not be available on Zoom for technical and logistical reasons. So if you live or are visiting Atlantic Canada, please come in person.

    Please join as many of the hybrid sessions as you are able; we will be studying and practising the guru yoga text. If, however, you do miss a session, it will be recorded and a link posted on your Program Resource Page for you to watch (preferably) before the next session. These talks will be stored for a couple of weeks, but will not be available indefinitely.

    We would also encourage you, if you are able, to make this weekend your own retreat. If you have friends who are Chödpas, you could get together with them for a practice session between the online practices.
