TRAVEL ADVISORY: Family Camping Week is open to all residents of Atlantic Canada and to residents of other provinces who have had 2 covid vaccines within 14 days of visiting Nova Scotia. Canadian residents outside of Atlantic Canada will need to complete the Safe Check-in Form before their travel to Nova Scotia and bring proof of vaccine status.

Family Camping at Dorje Denma Ling in 2021

Summer has arrived! It’s a great time to be outside!  We’ve set aside 10 nights (July 16-25) for families to gather and enjoy a camping experience at Dorje Denma Ling. We are happy to provide tent platforms or upgrade you to cabins, and provide three meals each day so you don’t need to worry about food prep.

During this 10-day period you are invited to camp on the land at Dorje Denma Ling for a minimum 2 night stay. Your family camping experience will be self-organized with opportunities to meet your friends for practice and relaxation. Come for two nights or a full week, arrange shared activities, let your sense perceptions run wild.

• A place to share outdoor time with friends and family
• A place to practice on your own or join others in our Pavilion
• Healthy meals provided by the DDL kitchen in an outdoor setting
• Access to outside shower houses and composting toilets
• Opportunities for evening campfires on the land – organized by families
• Time to walk and explore the beauty of this land

PLEASE NOTE: This is meant to be an outdoors, camping experience shared with friends and / or family who are already part of your personal bubble and with whom you feel safe.

The main building, office building and lodge are not available for entry due to covid regulations, and are reserved for staff. 

Costs

NOTE: All prices reflect a $20 per day meal service charge.

• Bring Your Own tent: $40 / day / per adult 18 years plus
• Buddha Field Wood Cabin (Can sleep 4 people): $60 / day / adult
• White Cabin-Style Tent: $60 / day / adult
• Drala Cabin: $70 / day / adult
• Children ages 3-17 pay only $20 / day for food costs

Registration Instructions

• When registering adults (18+) select your preferred lodging type. This adds together food and lodging on your Guest Statement.
• To register children under 18, select the “Live or Stay Locally” option. This will only add the food charge.
• If you are registering for your family as a group, add your email to each child’s registration. You will receive an email from the registration software with a link asking you to fill in personal information for each child. Please fill in any food restrictions or medical concerns for each child.

We will know from the number of people in your party whether you are likely to need more than one tent platform.
