Margaret Drescher

Margaret Drescher, our guide for this training, was a political activist in the 1960’s. Through her disillusionment with the means and results of that activism, she gave it up, studied horticulture and landscape design and turned her attention toward her yearning to know herself. By an auspicious coincidence she met a man who seemed to know just what she was experiencing. He was the founder of Shambhala Training, Chogyam Trungpa. She studied and trained with him, and with these teachings, for more than 50 years.
For the past 30 years she has implemented these teachings at Windhorse Farm, a retreat and program centre, she and her husband founded on the south shore of Nova Scotia. She is mother, a grandmother, a student of the land and a long-time meditation practitioner who welcomes you to come into community and share your curiosity and insight.
