Enlightened Society Assembly

with Noel McLellan and Shastri Mary Campbell

August 12 - 23, 2018

Enlightened Society Assembly is a gathering of Shambhala warriors to contemplate, practice and manifest the principles of basic goodness in order to create a good human society. Students will deepen their commitment and intention to manifest basic goodness by taking the Enlightened Society Vow. We will practice the Shambhala Sadhana to support the journey of establishing trust and confidence in the basic goodness of oneself, others and society. We will contemplate how we can embody these principles to further personal and social transformation.

Dorje Denma Ling is hosting the only residential land centre Enlightened Society Assembly in North America during 2018. Attending Assembly at a land centre is a very powerful experience: a chance to live together as a society, be close to nature and have a full community experience of living together.

APPLYING AND REGISTERING FOR ENLIGHTENED SOCIETY ASSEMBLY

Registering for Enlightened Society Assembly is a two-part process that involves: (1) applying to the Office of Practice and Education at Shambhala International based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and then (2) registering with Dorje Denma Ling.

You can apply now to Shambhala International, here. The Office of Practice and Education endeavours to process applications as quickly as possible, but it can sometimes take up to 8 weeks. The application deadline is June 15, 2018.

Please note that registering with Dorje Denma Ling does not guarantee your attendance at Enlightened Society Assembly. If you choose to register before receiving your acceptance letter, our cancellation policies will apply should you need to withdraw at a later date.
